She earned her Ph.D. from North Eastern University School of Law whereas she earned her Master Degree from Boston University in 2006. Likewise, she got different experiences from different field. She has been Executive Director, Co founder of NAZDEEK New Delhi, India from December 2011 to present. As Director and Co founder she designed and implementing Designed and implementing community legal projects in Assam, India on the rights of tea garden workers, and in New Delhi, India on rights of slum dwellers. Responsibilities include development of training modules & legal toolkits, conducting capacity building programs on issues human rights (fact-finding/documentation, grievance redressal mechanism, and monitoring of court orders and policies), and advising on advocacy campaigns. Engaged in building partnerships with universities, international and national human rights organizations, multi-media specialists, and private law firms. Similarly, she was Director of Reproductive Rights Unit of Human Rights Law Network, New Delhi from October 2009 to November 2011. Likewise, she was involved as Staff Attorney Fellow in ACLU, Reproductive Freedom Project, New York from September 2008 to September 2009; Litigation Associate in BINGHAM MCCUTCHEN, LLP October 2006 to May 2008; buyer, Senior Business Analyst in Target Corporation, Mervyns Hayward, CA from July 2000 to June 2003. Apart from these works, she published some publication. Likewise, she participated in some conferences like participated in Open Society Foundation “Expert Meeting on Social Accountability and Legal Empowerment: Allied Approaches in the Struggle for Human Rights” December 2014; Lecturer, “Litigating Access to Matenral Health Entitlements” Global School on Socio-Economic Rights: Sexual and Reproductive Rights Litigation, Harvard University FXB Center for Health and Human Rights, Harvard Law School; Plenary speaker, Thompson Reuters Foundation 2013 Trust Women Conference, “Unintended Consequences of Health Care Policy”. She is fluent in Nepali and conversational in Hindi and Spanish, and member of Adhikaar for Human Rights and Social Justice, South Asian Bar Association of New York (SABANY), South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT). She is member of advisory board of Forum for Nation Building (FNB) Nepal.
