From 1st to 3rd September 2025, FNB Nepal, in collaboration with IOM Nepal, organized Community Mobile Clinics in Pipra Rural Municipality (Wards 1, 3, and 5) of Mahottari District, in close coordination with the local government and under the leadership of ward chairs.
These clinics served as vital platforms to promote safe and informed labour migration, highlighting both the opportunities and risks associated with foreign employment. Key discussions focused on raising awareness on irregular migration, human trafficking, online job scams, visit visa frauds, and the impact of climate change on labour mobility. They also addressed sexual exploitation and abuse, particularly concerning vulnerable groups such as women migrant workers. Participants were informed about prevention measures, survivor support services, and reporting mechanisms to enhance community protection and accountability.
On 1st September, the clinic at Pipra Ward No. 1 engaged 87 individuals (51 female and 36 male).
On 2nd September, at Pipra Ward No. 5, 58 individuals participated (19 female and 39 male).
On 3rd September, the session at Pipra Ward No. 3 included 52 participants (30 female and 22 male).
In total, 197 individuals; 100 female and 97 male actively participated in these awareness sessions. IEC materials were distributed to reinforce knowledge and support informed, ethical migration decisions.
Together, we are building stronger, safer, and better-informed communities.
