FNB Nepal, in collaboration with IOM Nepal, organized an awareness and advocacy campaign titled ‘Migration School’ in two schools of Bara district, conducted in coordination with school leadership and local stakeholders.
The sessions were held on 29th August 2025 at Anup Dipani Secondary School, Kolhavi-1, and on 31st August 2025 at Shree Nepal Rashtriya Secondary School. These sessions aimed to empower higher secondary students with essential knowledge on the risks associated with forced labour, human trafficking, human smuggling, online scams, and visit visa frauds, while also promoting fair and ethical migration pathways.
In addition, the sessions included crucial discussions around sexual exploitation and abuse, especially in the context of foreign employment, helping students understand prevention, reporting mechanisms, and available support services.
At Anup Dipani Secondary School, a total of 81 participants took part, including 75 students- 58 female and 17 male.
Similarly, at Shree Nepal Rashtriya Secondary School, the session had participation from 81 individuals, with 75 students- 47 female and 28 male.
Both sessions were interactive, engaging students through general knowledge (G.K.) questions and distributing IEC materials to support informed decision making. Through these school based sessions, students gained a deeper understanding of migrant workers’ rights, safe migration, and protection against exploitation.
