Training of Trainers (ToT)

Forum for Nation Buidling (FNB) Nepal sucessfully completed Training of Trainers (ToT) program functioned under the project ENHANCING AND ACCELERATING ACCESS TO JUSTICE OF THE EARTHQUAKE SURVIVORS OF 14 HARDHIT DISTRICTS OF NEPAL THROUGH COMMUNITY MOBILE LEGAL CLINIC AND ADVOCACY. Total of 50 participants joined in the residential teaching where five themes for five days were facilitated. The five themes namely; Reconstruction, Federalism, Human Rights, General Law and Roleplay respectively over 26 sessions were discussed by 18 experts of the corresponding themes. The program was functioned with the interactive and participatory approach where numerous contemporary national and international legal issues were also conversed from the legal perspective. The training commenced on the morning of May 21 with the gracious presence of Mrs. Rakshya Basyal, Vice-president at Nepal Bar Association and Mr. Achyut Prasad Mainali, Public Relation Advisor at Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. To boost the learning experience, yoga class was also facilitated as requested by the participants. The participants involved lawyers from bar associations of project districts, law and social science students, social workers and organization’s representatives. The organization also ensured gender and social inclusion right from the selection process of the participants and resource persons. Along with theoretic schooling, the participants were also divided into four groups and engaged in a brief community research and roleplay of Community Mobile Legal Clinic activity. The training concluded on the fifth day i.e. May 25 where the champion group of roleplay were awarded and all the participants of the training were presented with organizational bag packs.
