ToT on legal mechanism and procedures on reconstruction and local governance in reference to community mobile legal clinic

Forum for Nation Building(FNB) Nepal organized a five days residential Training of Trainers (ToT) on legal mechanism and procedures on reconstruction and local governance in reference to community mobile legal clinic under the project Enhancing and Accelerating Access to Justice of the Earthquake Victims of Sindhupalchok, Gorkha, Dolkha, Kavrepalanchok and Kathmandu Valley of Nepal Through Community Mobile Legal Clinic and Advocacy from 15 to 19 June 2017 at Bojinee Nagarkot Resort, Bhaktapur. There were total of 71 (41 Male and 30 Female) participants including resource person and organizers in the training who were Lawyers, Social mobilizers, Local Government representatives, delegates from National Youth Council, Law students and social students. The participants were provided with training on how the mobile clinic can play a vital role in the life of earthquake victims, techniques to establish community mobile legal clinic (CMLC), refined policies and provisions of government for earthquake victims, loan and banking procedures, legal provisions to domestic violence, drafting skills, orientation on new civil and criminal code, way to handle cases from legal and psycho-social aspects and other challenges that may emerge during the course of clinic along with roleplay sessions. Objectives Of ToT: The overall objective of ToT was to introduce community mobile legal clinic among participants and to inform them about all the necessary updated information’s regarding government provisions and policies, issues and learning from previous clinics, counseling procedure, loan procedure and other legal mechanisms relating to CMLC in order to make them capable to work in community.
