Local Government Training
FNB Nepal started training to newly elected government in the projected districts (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Sindhupalchok, Gorkha, Kavrepalanchowk, Dolakha and Solukhumbu). According to our plan we had successfully conduct 10 training to local government of our projected district. The main objective of the training is to enhance the capacity of newly elected local government for the operation of the local administration. In our training, facilitators were selected from the government officials, honorable judge, senior advocates, meditators and other eligible facilitators. The participants were provided with training on legal provision regarding jurisdiction, priority, function of local governance and good governance, role, responsibility and right of executive and legislative body of local government and its difference, procedure on reconstruction of infrastructure affected by earthquake, procedure, new provisions, attributes of civil and criminal code, enactment of local law and procedure of dispute resolution by judicial committee, planning and strategy of capacity development of local level and its opportunity and challenges, tax system, income of local level, mediation and its steps and other crucial session backed by interaction, discussion and experience sharing.
