From 29th to 31st August 2025, FNB Nepal in collaboration with IOM Nepal organized Community Mobile Clinics in three wards of Kolhavi Municipality (Wards 1, 2, and 4) of Bara District, in close coordination with the local government and under the leadership of ward chairs.
These mobile clinics served as vital community platforms to promote safe and informed labour migration, focusing on both the opportunities and risks associated with foreign employment. Key discussions included the dangers of irregular migration, human trafficking, online job scams, visit visa frauds and the impact of climate change on labour mobility.
More importantly, the sessions also addressed sexual exploitation and abuse, with a focus on vulnerable groups such as women migrant workers. Participants were informed about prevention strategies, survivor support services and reporting mechanisms to strengthen protection and accountability.
On 29th August, the clinic at Ward No. 1 engaged 108 individuals- 89 women and 15 men.
On 30th August, at Ward No. 2, 60 individuals participated; 28 women and 32 men.
On 31st August, the session at Ward No. 4 included 59 participants; 11 women and 48 men.
In total, 227 individuals- 128 women and 99 men, actively participated in these awareness sessions. IEC materials were also distributed to reinforce learning and support informed, ethical migration decisions.
Together, we continue building resilient, informed, and safer communities.
