Bhasker Kafle has been working in the field of peace building and conflict transformation for more than 10 years now. Currently, he is working as Peace and Community Security Specialist with UNDP in South Sudan for its peacebuilding project: Community Security and Arms Control (CSAC). Before this, Mr. Kafle worked as Regional Dialogue Advisor with UNDP in Nepal for its Conflict Prevention Programme. His work at UNDP Nepal included targeting leaders of political parties, civil society and government at both central and local levels to strengthen collaborative leadership capacities including constructive negotiation, mediation, design and facilitation of dialogue processes, and consensus building. Previously he worked at International Alert in Nepal as Senior Programme Officer managing Alerts work with the youth on public security challenges and responses in Nepal through various dialogue related activities and training on peace building issues; and developing and implementing a theory of change (TOC) based monitoring and evaluation system for the organisation. Mr. Kafle did his BA majoring in Political Science and Philosophy and has his MA in Sociology and Anthropology from Tribhuvan University.
